Our goal is to promote and protect the native biodiversity of Washougal parks and green spaces by removing invasive plant species and fostering environmental stewardship through community volunteerism, educational outreach, and partnerships with the City of Washougal, local schools, businesses, and environmental organizations.
Washougal Ivy League is a registered non profit corporation in Washington State. We have submitted for and are awaiting approval to become a federally recognized 501(c)(3)!
After completing our Spring pulling season at Hathaway, we have set our sights on Sandy Swimming Hole! We have formally adopted Sandy Swimming Hole through the City of Washougal's Adopt-A-Park program. We will focus on Sandy Swimming Hole and the adjacent Washougal River Greenway through most of the fall.
We have also partnered with the East County Citizens Alliance (ECCA), and through them we have been awarded a grant from the Camas-Washougal Community Chest. We plan to use these funds to purchase our own volunteer tools and facilitate hosting ivy pull events throughout 2025 and beyond!
